What Is Sponsor A Home?

Sponsor A Home is Forest Grove by MHC, Inc.'s primary capital campaign. Each of our 20 one-bedroom homes (504 sq ft) represents a permanent, dignified residence for an adult with an Intellectual/Developmental Disability or a Veteran/First Responder with a disability. A sponsorship gift funds the construction of one home and helps ensure that cost is not a barrier to belonging.

Preliminary Drawings

Naming Rights Sponsors may name their home in honor of a loved one, a family name, or a value. Example: The Johnson Family Home, The Margaret Williams Home, The Courage Home. Naming is permanent with a plack on the home and will be honored in all future community materials.

Donor FAQ

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes. Forest Grove by MHC, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your gift is tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law. A formal acknowledgment letter will be provided for your records.

What if my designated resident leaves the community?

Your naming rights and recognition remain permanently in place. A sponsorship is a true donation that permanently funds the construction of a home and unlike a Buy-in it is not refundable when the resident leaves the community.

Can I give over multiple years?

Yes. We can structure a multi-year pledge for Founding Sponsor and Co-Sponsor gifts. Please contact us to discuss pledge agreements.

What happens if the designated person doesn’t meet resident criteria?

Forest Grove by MHC, Inc. will notify you promptly and work with you to either identify another resident to support or redirect your gift to the general Sponsor A Home fund. No construction decision is delayed pending designation review.
