Vendor Guidelines

BY BECOMING A VENDOR AT THE SeptemberFest2025, YOU ARE AGREEING TO ABIDE BY THE FOLLOWING RULES AND GUIDELINES:

GENERAL RULES:

➢ Vendors must pay in advance before setting up. Spots will not be assigned until payment is made.

➢ All vehicles must be removed from the sales area by 11:15 AM. unless Vendor has purchased a double-length spot in which a vehicle is allowed to stay during market hours. Please ask staff if you are not familiar with parking areas.

➢ Aggressive, argumentative, rude or offensive behavior will not be tolerated and will result in removal from market.

➢ MHC, Inc. reserves the right to refuse admission to any Vendor and to inspect all merchandise.

➢ Items deemed to be unsuitable, offensive or inappropriate by the American Legion Post 7 or MHC, Inc. are prohibited for display, trade, sale, or give away.

➢ Please respect your neighbors and stay within the boundaries of your space.

➢ No soliciting or walking sales. All business must be conducted from within Vendor’s designated space.

➢ Vendors must not drive stakes, nails, etc. into the blacktop.

➢ Vendors may not sell food or beverages, including water, for consumption on grounds, unless preapproved by MHC, Inc.

RISK OF LOSS AND INSURANCE: Vendor assumes sole risk of loss, theft or damage to merchandise and other personal property belonging to Vendor while such property or merchandise is in Vendor’s space or on the premises. Vendor acknowledges that neither MHC, Inc. nor the American Legion Post 7 assumes any responsibility to insure the safety or to protect Vendor’s merchandise from loss or damage caused by fire, rain, theft, malicious mischief, accident or any other cause. Vendor is responsible for obtaining its own insurance, and Vendor acknowledges that Vendor has been advised to purchase insurance to protect against these and other potential injuries or losses.

INDEMNIFICATION: Vendor agrees to indemnify and hold MHC, Inc and the American Legion Post 7 harmless from any liability damage, cost or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and court costs) arising from:

· Vendor’s use of or activities in or around Vendor’s space(s) or the Market premises and/or injury to persons or property resulting from any cause whatsoever including but not limited to any furniture or fixtures in Vendor’s Space, or from Merchandise, other property or other items sold or exchanged by Vendor.

· Vendor assumes full responsibility for all the merchandise Vendor offers for sale.

APPLICABLE LAWS AND TAXES: Vendor is solely responsible for following all applicable laws including those under the Internal Revenue Service, NC Department of Revenue, and any Local or County agencies concerning the collecting, reporting and filing of any applicable taxes.

*********** Failure to follow the Vendor Policy and Agreement may result in removal from the SeptemberFest 2025 event. If you ever have a concern or issue, please always notify us.
